In a nutshell to get Free Traffic - You have to write Articles! Period!

After using and relying on Pay Per Click (PPC) for so long, I began to ask myself 'When will I start doing some REAL internet marketing ???'

Why I asked myself this question was, although i was successful with my PPC campaigns and earning a good living... it seemed I was constantly re-investing my earnings back into my PPC Campaigns. My websites never appeared to rank in any search engines - I was always the guy on the right hand side of the page!!

At the end of the day the question was - 'How do i start getting traffic form the left hand side of search engine pages?...rather than paying for it on the right.'

After researching articles and how to 'market' them, I knew that I had to learn this strategy as I couldn't afford to NOT be doing it!

In time the amount of targeted traffic you can generate from organic searches and backlinks will surpass the most generous budget on PPC. And remember ITS ALL FREE!!!

You have to plant the seeds first to bear the fruit later. Simple as!

There seems to be alot of so called 'Guru's' out there teaching you the latest techniques and short-cuts, but what i have found is that by just doing a little research online - you will quickly realise that there is no mythical method or special technique.

A little hard work is all that is required...Its more of a matter of being consistent and having good quality content. If you are going to buy special tools or reports/software etc, the one thing i would advise is to learn what you buy thoroughly rather than keep looking for the next best thing.

Learn one strategy at a time and learn it properly - this is a secret to success in any area of life.

A few Pointers for getting started:

1. Choose your subject carefully & remember its all about quality content!

2. Let your personality come out in your writing - you should have a passion for the subject you are writing about, make it interesting. If you find the article boring, chances are your readers will too!

3. Tip for brainstorming - make a Mindmap. Your mind remembers and thinks in pictures, not written lines....Take out a pad and start making spider diagrams!

4. Make the article relevant to your own website - there is no point writing an article about deep sea fishing if your website is about baseball.

5. Make sure you write a little biography for yourself in the article body or in the resource area - show readers that you are a real person and that you genuinely care.

6. Have fun - you should enjoy writing your articles, let your love for the subject flow!

So there you have it, a brief insight into article marketing. Although articles will generate results slower than PPC, you will get you them in the mid-long term.
