Want to create a website and learn about internet marketing for free! It can be done. Although web hosting is relatively inexpensive, if you're just getting your feet wet and don't want to spend any money, you can use any of the web 2.0 type platforms that are available.

The main three that I like the best are Squidoo, Hubpages, and Weebly. All three of these sites lets you register for free and create websites for free. With Squidoo and Hubpages, you can create an unlimited number of sites for free. (They're called "lenses" at Squidoo and "hubs" at Hubpages.) Weebly will let you create two different web sites per account. But you can always make more accounts!

The upside to using these free platforms is that you don't have to spend any money building a website. You also don't have to know HTML. All three of these platforms use a click and drag type interface. Squidoo and Hubpages have their own look, but Weebly sites look just like regular sites.

Can you make real money off of these sites?

If you choose the right products to sell, and you market the site right, sure. Just as an experiment, I've got a Weebly site where I give away freebies. I've not touched the site since I built it a few months ago, and did some rudimentary marketing for it. Yet, it continues to crank out a few hundred dollars a month with regularity.

Is this enough to buy a Ferrari with? No, but it's enough for you to get a real taste for internet marketing and practice how it works.

The only real skills you have to bring to the party are writing, and marketing. Personally, I do a lot of article marketing. So, after I build a site, I'll come over here to EzineArticles and write a few articles. I find they usually bring me pretty good traffic.

You're only stumbling block is your ability to write. That can be solved fairly easily. Internet writing is very conversational, so write as if you were talking to a friend, explaining to him or her why they should buy something.

Review sites work well in internet marketing. After all, people come to the internet for information first, products second. People like review sites, especially if they're written by someone who knows what they're talking about.
