Find out what niche you are going to use for your business model and then search the top searched keywords and phrases by using Google's keyword search tool. After deciding what keywords are on the top of Google search list, use those words or phrases to create a domain name. This will help with the search engine optimization and drive more traffic to your site. After doing research and creating a domain name, it's now time to design a website. In my opinion a "blog" style website is the easiest and most beneficial for internet marketing. WordPress and Blogger are the two top choices. After designing your website, it's now time to start putting content into it and attracting people to it. Find some resources to get information from and write articles pertaining to your niche. The internet is a great place to do research for information, just be sure to write your own articles and not copy articles already published. The next step in the development of your online business is to structure a way to generate an income. One way is by affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is when you advertise products or services for a company through your website. You have to embed the advertisers banner ads into your website and then attract potential customers to your site so that people will make a purchase from the company. The company then gives you a percentage of the sale made. That is one stream of income from the site alone. The second stream of income that is possible from the same website is from Google AdSense. Google AdSense is advertisements provided from Google that you embed into your website and when someone clicks and views an ad, you get paid a small amount. The key is to drive large amounts of traffic to your website so that some people click and purchase from affiliate ads and some click on the AdSense ads. A moderate income is possible from these two income streams if the proper actions are taken. |
