This is the continuation of a series of articles written for internet marketing newbies and experienced internet marketers alike. This article focuses on time management, and how we need to value our time just as we value ourselves. I must add that if we do not value ourselves, we will not value our time. (I will discuss the importance of valuing our selves in a different article. :).

We must place a monetary value on our time if we are truly going to understand the importance of this concept. Our time is our money. It is a simple statement but a very true statement as well. For every moment that we waste on other people, perform meaningless tasks or other unnecessary and wasteful time draining activities, we are actually losing money. Not only are we losing money, but we are losing lots of money. We can make the analogy between wasting out time and wasting our money on budget draining indulgences such as that daily latte' at Starbucks. All of those budget draining expenses will add up and create havoc on our financial well being. If we continue to waste time on meaningless,useless, mindless tasks, this will also create havoc in our internet marketing or other small business. Time wasting activities will result in loss of business productivity with a resulting loss in business revenue.

There are a few things that you can do to budget your time wisely and accomplish all of the things that you need to accomplish in a given day. The first thing you must do is write down all of the things that you want to accomplish in a given day. Write these tasks down in order of priority. On the same page write down those things that you actually did accomplish so this will give you the feeling that you are productive and actually getting things done systematically.

The second thing that you must do in your internet marketing business is to not waste time with potential prospects and customers who are needy and drain you of your resources. You must cut conversations short with these people because they are true energy sappers and you will have nothing left to devote to your business if you give your full time and attention to these people. Know Your boundaries, and cut the conversation short and sweet. Let these people know that you are busy and let them know that you value your time even if they do not.(This is not by saying it directly but by showing a boundary in your actual behavior.). After a while these individuals will get the message and will stop trying to push your buttons.

All in all, valuing our time as we value our selves is an important concept that make or break your success in your internet marketing business. If you learn the art of time management and self preservation you will be on your way to continued success in your business ventures.
