| Internet Marketing Tips - Site Flipping |

If you've ever considered site flipping or don't know what it is, this article will give you my views on the subject. You might want to read this.
I'm going to cover a subject in this article that I quite honestly never thought I'd cover, quite frankly because I have mixed feelings about it. However, I feel it is important to go over because of the profit potential and some people might actually find this method of income generation to be just the thing they're looking for. I still haven't made up my mind as to whether or not I'm actually going to pursue this yet. Okay, so just what is site flipping? Well, to put it simply, site flipping is when you get yourself a domain and hosting, put up a site, build it up to where it starts to make a profit and then at some point down the road, maybe in a month or two, you sell it for a profit. That's the two cent tour of site flipping. However, it's not really as simple as it sounds. Let me explain why. For starters, you're not going to sell a site that has no value. So that means you have to put work into it...and sometimes a lot of work. You have to make sure it's SEO ready, getting traffic and making sales. It basically has to be a business that is showing a profit. The more profit you show, the more you can get for the site once you decide to sell it. Naturally, this all takes a lot of work. Secondly, once you've reached the point where the site is profitable, there is actually the process of finding a buyer and reaching an agreement on the price you're going to sell it for. This is usually the hardest part of the whole deal. The reason is because, and let's face it, most people want something for nothing and it's rare that you're going to get an offer that is fair. This is where you have to take a look at the site, at what it's now earning you and think to yourself if the money you're earning from the site makes it stupid to even sell it, especially if the offer you've been made is so ridiculous. Now naturally, if you don't have the time to put into the business at all, then yes, you'll want to sell at almost any price. But if you're doing this simply to make a quick profit, you really do need to look at the offer itself. If it's an insult, you may be better off keeping the site. Site flipping isn't for everybody. Many people have trouble parting with something that they worked so hard to put together. At least now you know what the deal is and can make your own decision. To YOUR Success, Steven Wagenheim |
