If you're an internet marketer then you know how difficult it can be to find keywords that convert to sales. It can take many hours of research and can cost you hundreds of dollars or more to discover the top converting keywords in your niche. I have created a list of the tips and tricks that I have discovered and implemented over the years. If you follow these tips you can literally save and simultaneously make thousands online! Here are 5 tips that you can use when bidding on keywords in Google Adwords, Yahoo! Search Marketing and MSN Adcenter: 1. Match Types Make good use of the 3 match types in Google Adwords; broad, phrase, and exact match. Here's an example of each: Broad Match = Car Parts Broad match will trigger searches that contain car parts in any order. Phrase match will include searches for car parts if it's in a sentence. Finally, the exact match of car parts will only be triggered when the user only searches for car parts with no other words contained in the search. 2. Reviews and Scams Another great keyword tip is to add keywords such as review and scam to the specific product that you are selling. An example of this would be if you are selling an ebook on improving your golf game, you could create a specific website for that product with a detailed review of it and add the review keywords. If you have your website in order, you can really rack up the conversions by bidding on product review keywords. Also, by setting up a "golf book exposed" type of landing page and bidding on the product name + scam/exposed/truth revealed etc... you can really increase your click-thru-ratio and rake in the sales! 3. Buy and Purchase My favorite technique (and by far the most profitable) is to actually bid on terms such as buy and purchase. Although these terms do not have huge search volume, they are actually some of the most profitable keywords in all of my campaigns! It works great because you are catching people who are searching for "buy product" or "purchase product" very late in the buying cycle and they are extremely easy to sell to. By adding implementing these ideas into your current and future PPC campaigns you will be able to sky rocket your targeted traffic, conversions, and ultimately your ROI... |
