| Learning Internet Network Marketing - Decision Or Commitment |
|
We make decisions every day. Some of those decisions are made quickly - some are made after considerable thought. A decision always has a ripple effect. The things we choose to say and do usually follow us a long way down the road. But, they are still just decisions - choices - easily changed.
We make decisions every day. Some of those decisions are made quickly - some are made after considerable thought. A decision always has a ripple effect. The things we choose to say and do usually follow us a long way down the road. But, they are still just decisions - choices - easily changed. A commitment is more than a decision. It says that you are there for the long haul - that wherever the road leads, you will still be there. When you commit to something, the circumstances around you have little effect on the end result. You are committed to seeing it through - no matter what. When the path gets challenging, you are not swayed. When I first learned of Internet Network Marketing, I made a decision to read some material by Ann Sieg called, 'The Renegade Network Marketer'. That decision was sparked simply by interest - with no strings attached. I found myself reading about a way I could generate prospects for my business without going out and finding them myself. I searched out another of her e-books and found my interest growing. Ann had hit a spot somewhere inside of me that I could completely identify with and I wanted more. After several weeks of 'on again - off again' listening to and reading information about this new idea called Internet Network Marketing, it suddenly got my full attention. What had I been toying around with all these weeks? I was suddenly focused on one thing. I needed to really learn what this was all about - and in that moment, the word changed from decision to commitment. I knew I would have challenges as I had very few computer skills. But - as many have discovered - when the word commitment takes hold, the challenges along the way begin to not matter so much. My commitment gave me the ability to move forward through the learning process and not be swayed by obstacles along the road. Internet Network Marketing would bring new life and energy to my business and I knew it. Decisions are simply choices we make to follow a particular path. They are a dime a dozen and many are quickly forgotten and replaced with other things. Commitment, on the other hand, takes the word decision one step farther. It is the point at which we sit up and really take notice of the path we are on. When you find something of value - something worth holding on to - a decision is not enough. Commitment says: I know this is value - I will follow through and hold on to this - because the reward is worth it. |
