By niche marketing I mean researching small niches with maybe a few hundred searches per day in Google and not much competition in the search engine results, and creating small sites to either sell your own product in that niche, promote an affiliate product, or earn from other methods such as contextual advertising (Google Adsense for instance).

Depending on the niches you uncover and the effort you put in to creating content and promoting the site, the rewards can be quite substantial. Whether you want to earn a few dollars per day to pay the bills, or a few hundred per day to quit your 9 to 5, it's completely possible with niche marketing.

Being involved in many niches I've learnt a lot about the best way to spend my time in the niche marketing business. I've also had to overcome many hurdles, which I think a lot of people come up against and quit when it seems too tough. Let's take a look at a few:
