You need to have a group of individuals who are interested in what you have to say or what you have to sell, or you will have to rely on traffic to your site. Getting targeted traffic can be a real challenge, so you should definitely work on building a list with an autoresponder to send them information. Even if you only have one person on your list, you must keep them interested or your prospect quickly becomes un-targeted. Passive income can be attained by several popular methods on the internet such as creating your own info product and setting up a mini-site to sell it. You can use the same method for marketing other people's products and receive a percentage of the profits, typically forty to seventy percent, depending on the product. Once your mini-site is set up, it will operate on autopilot, sending you passive income automatically. You will still need qualified visitors, of course, which does require some work or paid advertising to attain. There are tons of membership sites, such as traffic generation sites, how-to sites, and even merchandise marketing sites which, after you join, you will be allowed to sign up members under you, and receive a percentage of the money those members spend on merchandise or membership fees. Advertising other businesses on your website, by using Google Adsense or Yahoo Publisher, can be a lucrative method of passive income generation.
