Have you ever considered joining a Network Marketing program because your recruiter promised that he would fill your downline for you and give you great residual Income Stream?

Do you realize that great as it sounds it will kill your business stone dead. You will have no chance of succeeding even if he/she does as promised. No I am not mad. Well, I might be but not on this point. This method of recruiting can be seen all over the Internet and it just cannot work if you give it a few minutes thought.

There is a good chance that you have even signed up for an opportunity like this. It happens to most new people coming into the industry. If you go to some forums there are many people who say that they want to join a Networking Company but they don't have much money or time. Now, I don't wish to be harsh but we all know that it is not possible to get something for nothing.

For some reason everyone seems to think that it doesn't apply to Network Marketing, all logic seems to go out of the window. What happens is everyone falls for the same story and the myth gets passed down the line. Of course, when it doesn't work out the same people then think that Network Marketing doesn't work.

It is such a disappointment for them and for the industry. Plus, the mindset of these people is all wrong and they are ruining all chances of succeeding in the Network Marketing industry.

There is one exception to this but this is rare and there is only one company that I know of. That is when part of your monthly fee is put aside to pay for group advertising. This is not a quick fix though and it will take a while to be in profit.

You have to accept that to achieve a Residual Income Stream you need to put in time or money or both. But, just as important, you need to do it correctly. Going back to where I started, I get so many emails, usually spam, along the lines of "Join this business under me and I'll build your downline for you." I'm sure they get a lot of people to join with this promise as they are relying on people's optimism, laziness, naivety, or something else.

I think I have even joined one myself a while back.

Lets give this some thought for a minute and get rid of this myth forever. Lets assume that you sent out an email promising signs up with no work involved and you are the best marketer in the world. Also you are very generous and do put people under your sign ups. Now, how do Network Marketers make a lot of money? It's numbers, more than that; it's huge numbers of people in your downline.

Now, you've recruited your downline telling them that they don't have to do anything. So, what are they doing, they are doing precisely that, nothing. Just waiting for the checks to come rolling in.

Now, you may be good, but are you that good? Can you really fill in your downline with the thousands that are needed all on your own? It's time for a reality check. NO YOU CAN'T. And as your downline starts to realise that their monthly outgoings are higher than their income, the 3-month statistic kicks in. Off they go to join another MLM company who will pay them for doing nothing.

The trouble is, you have been attracting the wrong sort of person, and you don't want people who want to sit around in their underwear all day after 30 mins checking the deluge of checks pouring in their letterbox. You want people who are willing to roll their sleeves up, listen to what you have to offer, and copy it.

If you are looking to make a long-term residual income stream, these are the sort of people you want, and believe me, there are a lot of them out there if you can find them. So, hopefully I have made you realise that it is time to change your way of thinking. It doesn't matter what MLM Company you are promoting, you need to change your approach if you are going to succeed.

Firstly, don't think about how little money or time you have. If you do you will fail, you have already programmed your mind to do so, it's inevitable. Even if you are down to your last 10 dollars, don't think about it. If you have neither time or money this is not important, what is important is your approach.

The only difference is that it will take a bit longer. What you must decide is how can you create the time and money needed to create your residual income stream. Then you have to find out how you can attract like-minded people to you, teach them so that they can teach others. Then it all falls into place and you haven't got to be the only one in your organisation recruiting.
