You can use Google or others to build a simple site to promote. Then this site becomes another tool for you to use to gain credibility. You can also create an e-newsletter and make it available on your website. Get people to subscribe and, once again, give them good, solid information (preferably about your industry or product). They will begin to trust you and your information and look forward to more. Or, you can write informative articles or create informative videos. Once again, the whole purpose is to build YOUR credibility. Once people are in to you, they are much more agreeable to your products or services. In closing, building credibility in yourself then letting that credibility spill over to your product is, by far, the fastest way to gain good solid customers.
