| The Future of SEO and Internet Marketing |

I often see questions pertaining to SEO, questions such as where is SEO headed? I believe search engine optimization will be changing as it always has. However, will it ever die? I don't believe so.
Let's say a single similar product is offered by 50 companies who have all been in business for two years. All of these companies are loved by their own community. 15 of these companies are based out of Tucson Arizona. 15 Tucson companies offer the same product for around the same price. Who will rank for a search on this product in Tucson. The website that is best optimized. Who else will do this other than an SEO? Now I do think some SEO Firms will will go out of business if they don't continue learning, educating and evolving with the playing field. Do you really want to use 90s strategies with today's search engines? If you visit Google's guidelines you'll see the future of how they want search engine's to rank websites. If they want their algorithm to work a certain way, eventually they will get it to that point. The service portfolios for many SEO Firms have already changed with the times. I now see a number of SEO firms offering content creation. I've even seen companies offering the design of link bait such as useful programs and super resource articles. So back to the original idea of 15 Tucson companies with the same product. The Company website that will rank will be the one found most useful as well as designed with the basic standards expected by search engines. The meaning of the term SEO has always been discussed. I've always believed that the term "SEO" stands for the countless tasks that can be performed for higher search engine rankings. SEO is not just to the task of link building or keyword optimization or HTML validation. It's everything and anything you can possibly do to get a website within the top 10 for specific keyword searches. |
