Here's what to do instead: make funny, interesting statements and leave space for her to add to what you've said by her offering her own opinion or story. If you can have a 5 minute conversation without asking her any questions you've basically shown you are not at all needy.

Okay so in an example scenario a guy has a cool conversation with a girl he meets at a party. They exchange phone numbers, he then texts her constantly, she replies at first but then stops replying. What happened?

The guy texted her way too much and gave her way too much attention! He basically showed the girl that she means a lot to him as he's investing all that time texting her. She enjoys the attention at first but realizes she is probably his only option romantically.

She eventually writes him off as she loses attraction for him and stops replying. After 3 or 4 no replies the guy feels bad because he knows she's not interested in him anymore and he thinks it's something he said in a text, but really it was just that he texted her too much. He then gets frustrated at the girl and at himself!

So the key then is always to be non-needy and you'll get the girl.
