I covered my top favorite free web traffic options but there are other excellent opportunities for driving traffic to your website that calls for a little elbow grease but no money down. Here are a few of my second tier favorites. I use them semi-regularly as testing sites.
I covered my top favorite free web traffic options but there are other excellent opportunities for driving traffic to your website that calls for a little elbow grease but no money down. Here are a few of my second tier favorites. I use them semi-regularly as testing sites. You can use these free methods to drive traffic to your squeeze page; here are a few of my select favorites: The key is to schedule your time in a way that gets you producing results within 30 days. HubPages - a website with thousands of independent blog-like pages. You can set up your theme and subject quickly then promote your pages. Squidoo - is a similar system as Hub pages. You can join groups within the Squidoo community and coordinate your themed pages with others. Traffic Exchanges - are a type of website which provides a service for webmasters in exchange for web traffic. You browse other member's websites to gain more exposure. Link Exchanges - or banner exchanges are a collection of websites that cooperate in community banner advertising. You place a piece of code on your website that displays the rotating banner on a regular basis. Viral marketing - there are great viral applications out there that you can brand with your own advertising banners. These programs are distributed freely to recipients with your banners included. Twitter - is called a micro blog. You can post up to 140 characters in length at this social networking site. Others can follow you (subscribe to your micro blog) to get more information about you and your posts. Facebook - is a social networking site that users join to keep in touch with their community or like minded group. You can add "friends" to your list or create sub-lists to organize your friends. Digg - is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web. I use it to check on headline popularity as well as post my articles and videos for recommendation. Digg has its own community. StumbleUpon - is a popular website and browser a plugin that is used to rate and display web pages, photos, videos and news articles. Like Digg, it has its own community. That is my checklist of second tier free traffic sources. You now have a collection of tools that can be integrated to promote your squeeze page. Start with your article and create a free video for promotional purposes. Take the article and rewrite it three times. Place one copy of your article on EzineArticles and one on HubPages. The third one goes on Squidoo and the fourth goes on your blog. You will be creating a banner that fits the viral marketing and banner exchange advertising model. Distributing your article through EzineArticles can connect it to Twitter by automatic update and you can also display your well crafted words on your Facebook account. |
