At this point your traffic is a huge snowball rolling down the hill. You keep picking up more momentum as you go and it gets easier and easier. The hardest part is definitely at the beginning when you attempting to market a new website. However, once established, the traffic can run more or less on autopilot. Some methods of generating free traffic are article marketing, blogging, and forum posting. Article marketing is one of the best free marketing methods available. This form of promotion does several things for you. First of all, it automatically makes you the expert in your field. When you write several articles on a topic, people start to look to you for guidance. In addition to this, your article will have a link to your website at the bottom. This is a great way to get your link all over the internet. Every time your article is used, the link will still be there. This will send you more visitors and help your ranking at the search engines. Although this can be time consuming in the beginning to research and write articles, it is also possible to outsource the work and pay article writers to do the job for you. This however, can be expensive in the beginning, and you need to ensure your article content is original. Paid traffic is a completely different animal. Whilst the basic idea is the same, with the objective being to bring as many visitors as possible to your website in order to make money online the way it is executed is completely different. The great benefit of paid traffic is that you start getting traffic almost immediately. If you set up an AdWords account with Google, you can be up and running in five minutes. You can start to sell your product immediately and you will see returns immediately. However, it also has a lot more risk involved. When you start with pay-per-click, the chances are that you probably will not be great at it initially. This means that you could be spending a lot of money in clicks without actually making any sales. This could be a losing proposition for your bank account and could potentially run your business into the ground before you get started. |
