There is a simple truth about people on the internet. They like pictures. I would like to share some of my observations and ideas on using that to your advantage. Now I know getting good internet traffic can be a pain. It seems like a few sites always just sit at the top of the rankings and never move or change. Luckily in my pursuit of learning to sell my music online I also learned a lot of odd ways to market products. One of the most interesting was using pictures. There are many sites out there that allow you to put pictures on them. The kicker is that the search engines love pictures. I probably get a couple of dozen hits on the pictures from my site a day, and I don't use very many. Just think what having a massive collection of pictures on your site could do. Suddenly you will find that your site is getting massive hits just on the pictures. Of course, in order to take advantage of that you might need to do something a little bit sneaky. Like...putting your websites address on all the pictures, and back linking all your pictures to your site. This has lead me to a new idea (at least it is to me). Viral Picture Marketing. By putting your pictures in high volume places, and places the search engines love, you can boost your traffic in days. I have successfully used this method, and now you can too. |
