Traffic is vital for your squeeze page, and even though having any traffic at all is important, targeted traffic is what you really want. There are a few simple and free ways you can drive targeted traffic to your squeeze page, and in this article I will show you two of those and how you can use them effectively.

Forum traffic

First you need to find forums that are worth your time, a good idea is to search for "'your niche' forum" or "your niche" forum, and then find the ones that have many active members, if they have many members but 10 active ones, then it's close to worthless. A way of finding out which one are active is to visit the forum's main 'sub forum' and see how many posts and replies were made in the last few days. If there are around 100 replies or more, the forum is worth joining, if it has thousands then it is most definitely worth joining. Join a few of these forums, 2 or 3 is good if there are more that is worth your time you can join them, but it can get very time consuming.

And then simply write a short ad with a link that looks like this in your signature:
[url="http://yoururl.com"]Free Traffic and List building tips[/url] instead of [url="http://www.yoururl.com"]click here[/url] or[url="http://www.yoururl.com"]Site name[/url](This is if the forum uses bb code, if it uses html instead just write '<'a rel='nofollow' href="http://yoururl.com">Your site's topic<'/a>'(remoe the 's). After that just be yourself and be active, focus on helping new and old members with things you have or do not have knowledge about, it can pay off to take some time to research to give a really helpful post, not only will this help establish you as an expert but also will probably get you visits from the ones that are grateful for your help.

Blog Traffic

Ever wondered why internet marketers tend to have at least one blog ?
They blog because search engines love blogs. Making it easier to rank high in search results. Another advantage with having a blog is that you can have the subscription form directly on it.
You do not need to set up your blog on a domain of your own but doing so has several advantages.

To get visitors to your blog, you should post regularly, and also only post high quality content, ping it with for example pingomatic.com and then use social bookmarking services to try to get the word out there. Another thing that can help greatly on your search engine ranking, is to post your posts to article directories, and then put a link to your website in the resource box, use article directories such as ezinearticles.com and articledashboard.com , these are two high quality and well ranked article directories. Of course if you make an effort to make the article good, as you should be doing anyway, then you will probably get a decent number of visitors directly from the articles as well.

Also find other blogs within your niche, and read some posts and comment on them, not only does this usually get you a visit most of the time a backlink that gets listetd, it can also develop into permanent links to your blog as well as posts about your blog. And of course if it's in the same niche as the forum, don't hesitate to put the link to your blog in the signature as well.
