Here are 5 traffic building strategies I use on a daily basis to drive customers to my website.

1. Post in forums. This method of traffic generation involves leaving thoughtful posts in forums that can actually solve someone's problems. Forum marketing is very powerful if you are willing to go that extra mile and give valuable information away for free!

2. Blog commenting. This is a very overlooked method of traffic generation, but it can provide you with great results. This traffic building strategy has a similar premise to posting in forums, except with this you are posting on individual blogs.

3. Pay per click. PPC is an excellent source of traffic generation, and is probably the fastest way to get targeted traffic to your website. The only problem with ppc is that the costs associated with it are sometimes higher than a lot of people are willing to pay. It is not uncommon for some terms to cost over $1 per click, which is very expensive.

4. Article marketing. I saved my two favorite methods for last. Article marketing can bring a tremendous amount of website traffic for a long time. Article marketing really works, and more people should take advantage of this.

5. One of my favorite traffic building strategies (if not my very favorite) is eBay classified ads. eBay classified ads provide the best amount of targeted website traffic for the money. A classified ad costs only $9.95 to run for 30 days on eBay, and it can easily bring hundreds of people to your website. Imagine the possibilities with 50 or 100 ads running every month on eBay!
